Permabond 825: a new generation of high temperature cyanoacrylate adhesives!

Fast curing, easy to use and now resistant to very high temperatures: Permabond 825!

Cyanoacrylate are instant adhesives well known to both the general public and industry. Their ease of use, their capability of bonding in a few seconds and their versatility make them ideal for quick repair of small parts and fastening of small items. But they are mainly known for their ability to bond every type of rubber in seconds. That’s why cyanoacrylates are popular products in the transportation, food and appliance industries.

But the technical limits of cyanoacrylates are also well known: in particular, there are only a few references which can withstand more than 120 ° C. Until now, the only way to achieve 200 ° C resistant bonds was to use allyl-based cyanoacrylates, which required post-curing of several hours at high temperatures to achieve maximum product performance.

Permabond, always at the forefront of developments in the field of industrial adhesives, recently patented a new generation of cyanoacrylate, overcoming this problem of temperature resistance. Thanks to the new modified ethyl cyanoacrylate glues, it is now possible to have excellent continuous resistance to very high temperatures without any post-curing.

Permabond 825 adhesive is the first product on the market of this new generation. It can withstand temperatures of 200 ° C continuously, and has an exceptional resistance to aging. It is therefore ideal for bonding rubbers permanently exposed to high temperatures.

For bonding silicone rubber, fluoroelastomer or EPDM, the use of Permabond POP primer is recommended.
