EPIBOND 300 A/B US – SPEC HUNTSMAN –

Huntsman's EPIBOND 300 A / B is a two-component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive that can respond to applications up to 400°F (204°C). It is suitable for bonding many materials (metals, composite etc.). EPIBOND 300A / B combines excellent shear strength and very good compressive strength, perfectly meeting the requirements of aerospace applications and composites (gap filling).

Color: Gray / Viscosity: Thixotropic (Resin: White paste - Hardener: Gray paste) / Density: 1.3 (Resin: 1.2 - Hardener: 1.5) / Working time: 30 - 35 min / Gel-Time: 45 min at 23°C / Polymerization time: 3-5 days at 25°C or 1h at 66°C) / Tensile modulus: 3,193 Mpa / Tensile strength: 51.7 MPa at 25°C (after 2h at 70°C) / Elongation at break: 2% / Hardness 82 ShD / Tg: from 70°C after 5 days at 25°C and 129°C after 3 hours at 93°C / Shear strength AL-AL: 17, 6MPa at -70°C; 28.9MPa at 25°C; on CFRP: 31.4 MPa at 25°C.

EPIBOND 300 A / B hardens at room temperature and allows, after baking, use up to 204°C (shear at 204°C: 7.5 Mpa). EPIBOND 300 A / B meets REACH requirements and offers good resistance to external aggressions in harsh environmental conditions. Mixing ratio 100/67 (2/1 by volume). The two parts of the EPIBOND 300 A / B glue have a very distinct color, which allows easy control of the mixture.
