Samaro co-exhibits with Dow at Batteries Event 2025 — Lyon, November 4–6 — Booth F38
Meet us at Booth F38 to connect with our teams and accelerate your battery projects! Batteries Event welcomes a 100% professional audience (OEMs, Tier-1/2, cell/module manufacturers, pack integrators, test & safety specialists, engineering firms, R&D, purchasing, industrialization). Everyone’s challenge: secure, validate, and industrialize faster within a demanding regulatory framework (fire protection, EMI/EMC compliance, recyclability) while controlling costs.
From Samaro, you’ll meet Esther JOSEPH (Electrical & Electronics Brand Manager), Jean-Lionel PATYN (Technical & Marketing Manager), and Yannick DUBOIS (Communications Officer).
Alongside our partner Dow, Eric VANLATHEM (Senior Application Engineer) and Gregory FILOU (Market Manager e-Mobility) will share field feedback and use cases.

Why stop by?
Samaro and Dow are teaming up to deliver DOWSIL™ silicone solutions across five pillars of battery pack design:
- Sealing & in-place encapsulation (foam-in-place) to protect against moisture/dust while compensating assembly tolerances.
- Thermal management (gap fillers) to stabilize temperatures and reduce derating.
- Adhesion & NVH (fast bonding, shock/vibration damping) without oven or primer depending on the grade.
- EMI/RFI shielding & grounding with durable electrical continuity.
- Fire safety & dielectric strength: grades with UL 94 ratings (by grade/thickness) and high CTI to improve electrical robustness.

Our DOWSIL™ short list (battery packs & power electronics)
1) In-place sealing & encapsulation (tolerance compensation, moisture protection)
- DOWSIL™ 3-8259 RF (Silicone Foam)
What it is: Two-part 1:1 silicone foam, room-temperature cure, dispensed directly onto the part to form an integrated compression gasket.
Key benefits: Very soft (Shore 00), low slumping on inclined surfaces, simple 1:1 mix, fast cure, low compression set retained at high temperature; continuous, cut-free gasket. Ideal for covers, BMS, electronic lids.
- DOWSIL™ 8257 (Encapsulation/Foam-in-Place)
What it is: 2K silicone foam, low hardness, designed for in-place foamed gaskets in automotive/industrial applications.
Key benefits: Environmental sealing (moisture/dust), vibration absorption, time savings vs. die-cut gaskets, good resistance to thermal cycling.
- DOWSIL™ 7091 (Adhesives & Sealent)
What it is: One-part neutral silicone, room-temperature cure, UL 94 HB, service from −55 °C to +180 °C (white, black, grey).
Key benefits: Durable adhesion and sealing for EV charger cabinet doors to improve safety and reliability.
2) Thermal management (cycling stability, flexible processing)
- DOWSIL™ TC-4515 — Thermally Conductive Gap Filler
Highlights: Conductivity > 1.5 W/m·K, RTV or heat-accelerated cure, vertical hold (as-dispensed/cured), long-term stability up to 150 °C, UL 94 V-0. Recommended for EV modules, inverters, BMS.
- DOWSIL™ TC-5515 LT — Low-Density Thermally Conductive Gap Filler
Highlights: ≈ 2.0 W/m·K, low density (mass/material savings), excellent heat dissipation, non-flowable after dispensing (thickness maintained on vertical planes). Specifically designed for EV battery assembly (packs, power modules).
3) Fast bonding, shock & vibration protection
- DOWSIL™ EA-3838 — Fast Adhesive
What it is: Two-part RTV silicone, thixotropic, non-corrosive, neutral alkoxy.
Key benefits: Fast room-temperature set (on the order of tens of minutes depending on conditions), no oven, no primer, multi-substrate adhesion (metals, composites, plastics). Useful for housings, brackets, and bonded joints with damping (NVH reduction).
4) EMI/RFI shielding & grounding (durable electrical continuity)
- DOWSIL™ EC-6601 — Electrically Conductive Adhesive
Key benefits: High shielding effectiveness with durable mechanical/electrical properties for cameras, radars, RF modules — room-temperature cure. Pack applications: grounding of covers, continuous enclosure shielding.
- DOWSIL™ EC-8425 — Electrically Conductive Adhesive
Key benefits: One-part silicone (heat cure from ~90 °C depending on profile), strong adhesion, electrically conductive with high EMI shielding effectiveness, resistant to high temperature and vibration.

❓FAQ
🔹 Do your in-place foams replace a die-cut gasket?
Yes, in many cases. DOWSIL™ 3-8259 RF and DOWSIL™ 8257 provide a continuous compressible gasket, adaptable to tolerances and fast to produce. Target compression and dimensions should be validated against your IP rating and assembly tolerances.
🔹 Which gap filler should I choose between TC-4515 and TC-5515 LT?
For the highest conductivity in this selection and an optimized mass/performance ratio, TC-5515 LT (≈ 2.0 W/m·K, low density) is a strong choice. TC-4515 (> 1.8 W/m·K) stands out for stability and its UL 94 V-0 / CTI ≥ 600 ratings—useful when fire/dilectric requirements come first.
🔹 Do your adhesives help with vibration/shock protection?
Yes. EA-3838 cures to an elastomeric behavior that helps decouple and distribute stresses—while its short set time speeds up production.
🔹 How do we ensure EMI continuity over time?
Select the conductive adhesive to fit your process (EC-6601 moisture-cure vs. EC-8425 heat-cure), verify contact resistance after cycling/vibration, and check compatibility with surface treatments (paint, anodizing).
🔹 Are these products compliant with fire standards (UL 94)?
It depends on the grade and tested thickness. For example, TC-4515 lists UL 94 V-0 (per supplier datasheet). Re-test on representative parts per your specification (UL, OEM, etc.).
